Hello to everyone reading this! I am so excited to start this blog and share all of my tips and tricks for traveling the world.
I have been traveling out of the country since I was young (mainly we always went to Mexico or similar countries near by). It has always been my dream to travel the world and see new places I have never been. I love learning other cultures, trying new food, and going on different adventures to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone.
I honestly never thought I would be where I’m at today, running my own business, traveling to countries I never thought were possible, and checking things off my all time bucket list. It has all become possible through loads of budgeting, missing out on many events, and pure determination to see the world and do everything I thought was just a pipe dream. Now I’m ready to share all my tips and tricks on traveling with everyone!
Here I will be sharing all the places I have traveled, tips for each location, best times to go, and some of my favorite activities to do!
From the time i was 15, my family went on vacation out of the country every year. I thought going ot Mexico once a year was the extent of my travel. I always dreamed of going to Europe or Scandinavia. My all time number one bucket list was to see the Northern Lights, which I honestly thought would never happen and it would be an unattainable dream.
Fast forward and I’m 26 getting married to my best friend. We got married in 2020 so we decided to wait until 2021 for our honeymoon. I didn’t want to go to Mexico again so we decided on St. Lucia. I was so excited to go a place i had never been and see the clear Caribbean ocean for the first time.
Since covid was still affecting us in 2021, our resort shut down a month before we were supposed to leave with no timeline of reopening. I was shattered my dreams of seeing a new place with my new husband were being ripped away from us. We made the decision to book Antigua last minute (only a few islands north of St. Lucia) and were able to enjoy the Caribbean for the first time. We were also allotted a travel voucher for St. Lucia and 2022 was when things really took off for us.
2022 started off with a trip to St. Lucia which was incredible, we called it our honeymoon number 2 and enjoyed every second. To be honest, i think Antigua sparked something within us and we collectively decided we wanted to hold off on having children and travel the world.
My husband also turned 30 in 2022 so I surprised him with a trip to Glacier National park only 2 months after we got home from St. Lucia. Going to Glacier was my first time seeing the Rocky Mountain, and let me tell you I instantly fell in love. We also visited Mexico with my family the following month for our annual trip. Then that leads us to our 2nd anniversary.
Since seeing the Northern Lights was my all time bucket list, I really wanted to go to Iceland for our first anniversary. Since covid rules were still very strict with travel, we decided to wait a year and see what happened. Things got easier in 2022 and we ended up in Iceland for our 2nd anniversary, and it was such an adventure. Don’t worry, each of my blog posts will really go into detail on all of our trips!
As i write this, we have been on roughly 10-15 trips since 2021 and i plan every detail of them all. I am extremely organized, create timelines for us, search for the best deals, and learned how to re-budget our lives around these trips. With the knowledge i have gained just from planning our own trips sparked an interest in becoming a travel agent. If i am able to help others travel to their dream destination with little to no effort then sign me up! I love creating timelines, learning about new places, choosing the best landmarks to stop at, and overall finding cool little places many people do not know about!
My goal is to be a licensed travel agent by the end of 2023 in order to help everyone achieve those travel dreams and explore places on your bucket list that you may think are just a pipe dream. Because having a dream to travel can become a reality and I’m here to help make it come true.
As a wedding photographer and avid traveler, my goal is to take my skills and knowledge to help my current and future couples plan their destination weddings. Not having a destination wedding? No problem! Once I have my official travel license, I will also be including honeymoon planning services into my wedding packages. This way not only will I help you on your big day, but my services will go beyond your local or destination wedding to help you plan your dream honeymoon!
Many couples I work with have small local elopements and save for their dream honeymoon. Whether you’re planning an elopement, a large local wedding, or an international destination wedding, these events can be stressful and cause major burnout. Having an extra hand to helping you plan your travels or honeymoon would be a giant weight off both your shoulders.
