I photograph elopements throughout the entire Moab region, including Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, and surrounding BLM desert land. Each area offers a completely different experience, from iconic arches to quiet, wide-open canyon views.
Yes, permits are required for most ceremony locations in Arches, Canyonlands, and Dead Horse Point. Some BLM areas may also require permits depending on group size and location. I guide you through exactly what’s needed based on your chosen spot so nothing is confusing.
Each area offers a different experience: Arches = iconic desert formations and arches, Canyonlands = vast, dramatic canyon views, Dead Horse Point = epic overlooks and sunsets, BLM land = more privacy and flexibility with fewer crowds. I help you choose based on your vibe, privacy level, and timeline.
Yes, this is where strategy matters. While Arches and Dead Horse Point are more regulated and popular, BLM land and certain Canyonlands areas offer much more privacy. I design your timeline to prioritize both views and seclusion wherever possible.
I build your locations around your ceremony site, lighting, travel time, and experience goals. Every spot is intentionally mapped so your day flows naturally without rushed transitions or overcrowding.
Not always. Some of the most iconic views are accessible with short walks or overlooks. If you want hiking included, we can absolutely build that into your experience, but it’s never required for incredible photos.
BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land is public desert land surrounding Moab that often allows more flexibility and privacy than national parks. It’s a great option for couples who want fewer restrictions and more secluded landscapes.
The best months are March, April, October, and November. These seasons offer the most comfortable temperatures and the best light for elopements in Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, and surrounding desert areas. Summer is extremely hot and not recommended due to dangerous temperatures and harsh conditions for being outside.
Yes and most couples do. A typical Moab elopement includes a ceremony in one area (like Arches or Canyonlands) and portraits in another nearby location like BLM land or Dead Horse Point for variety and different landscapes.
Most Moab elopements are booked 6–12 months in advance, especially for spring and fall dates. National park permits and lodging also book quickly, so earlier planning gives you the best options.
